One of our favorite things about cold brewing tea is the endless possibilities and versatility of having a good tea in the fridge year round. And with these hot days, a nice cold iced tea goes down so smoothly!
Cold brewing tea is a gentle way of incorporating the components of the tea, antioxidants, tannins, into the water. Cold brewing gives you a different experience of enjoying tea.
The beauty about tea is that you can enjoy it throughout the day and at into the night. You can always find a pitcher of 2-3 teas in my fridge😁 Ginger and hibiscus being one of my favorites!
How To Cold Brew Tea
The exact amount of loose leaf tea you'll use will vary by the texture of the tea or blend.
- Generally, you want to use 3-5 teaspoons per gallon.
- 1 gal of filtered water
- Steep for 2-12 hours
- Sweeten to tase with your favorite sweetener
- Enjoy!
That simple!
